Board Representation
Will is one of Ireland's most experienced non-executive directors and continually keeps his knowledge of corporate governance and board practice fully up to date. He has recently participated in the "Building High Performance Boards" Programme at IMD Lausanne and the "Making Corporate Boards More Effective" Programme at Harvard Business School.
He is a non-executive director of the Danske Bank subsidiary in Northern Ireland, Northern Bank Ltd.
From 2002 - 2007 Will served on the board of the ESB, which is the largest and most successful semi-state corporation in the Republic of Ireland with a turnover of €3 billion. He was on the Remuneration and Management Development sub-committee and chaired the Market and Customer sub-committee.
Recently Will submitted a report to the chairman of a major international corporation on the structure of the board and its compliance with emerging requirements in European corporate governance trends resulting from the Sarbanes-Oxley impact in the USA.
